Hockey jerseys
Hockey jerseys were originally created from sweater material
such as wool. For this reason, they were original known as hockey sweaters.
These apparel items are worn over the upper portions of a player’s
body.
Today, hockey jerseys are made of such materials as polyester. Synthetic
materials such as these are used for their resistance to moisture. This
aids in keeping the player dry and warm.
Along with sharing the colors and logo of the team, hockey jerseys
also display player names and numbers. The captain of the team will
be recognizable with a C to the upper right of the logo. However, some
may have it to the upper left. One or two other members will have an
A to display alternate captain status.
