Hockey goals

Hockey goals are located at each end of the rink. Each generally consists of goal posts, a crossbar, and a net. The goal posts rise vertically from the goal line with the crossbar connecting the two of them at the top. This makes up the full entrance to the goal, which is painted red.

The openings of hockey goals are six feet wide and four feet tall. Each team focuses on earning points for the game by knocking the puck into the goal of the other team. This sport is one of the few which allows an active game play area behind the goal.

When purchasing hockey goals, there are a few things to take into consideration. Professional, amateur, and scholastic levels of ice hockey have their own specific standard for sizes and materials. In addition to this, the purchase of some goal frames may not include a net, while other styles will.
